Financial Assistance

The United Way has a COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund to help with bills, rent, and food. Families can call 1-866-211-9966 and provide their zip code and they will be given a list of local agencies that can provide assistance.  

​Hillsborough County Social Services continues to provide services to customers needing assistance with utilities and rent.  Families can call the Customer Call Center through any of the numbers below to be screened and scheduled for a telephonic appointment.  Click on the links to learn more information about each Center.

Domestic Violence
 
The Spring of Tampa Bay

  • The Spring provides safe emergency shelter and multiple supportive services for victims and survivors of domestic violence and their children. The DV crisis hotline is staffed 24 hours a day and can help callers identify ways to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. 
  • The Spring’s hotline number is 813-247-SAFE(7233). They have increased our use of technology during the pandemic to also provide services remotely.
  • Additionally, The Spring of Tampa Bay* employs attorneys (including Spanish fluent attorneys) who provide free legal representation in Hillsborough County to help obtain injunctions for protection (IFP) for any survivor of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, and stalking without regard to income. Please contact IFP Project Lead Attorney Denise Vaughan at 813-495-3523 with any questions or to request any attorney to represent you in an injunction petition. (*Required Legal Disclaimer: The Spring of Tampa Bay is not providing the legal services and is only acting as an intermediary)

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay

  • The mission of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is to ensure that no one in our community has to face crisis alone.  The organization is the community’s gateway to help, hope, and healing, and is Tampa Bay’s elite provider of crisis and trauma services.  The nonprofit agency offers a range of evidence-based programs designed to meet community needs:
    • Corbett Trauma Center (trauma counseling, care coordination and sexual assault survivor services)
    • Gateway Contact Center (2-1-1: suicide prevention, crisis counseling, and information and referral services)
    • TransCare (9-1-1 emergency and mental health ambulance services, medical van transportation, community paramedicine) 
 
Chrysalis

  • Chrysalis helps clients break free from barriers and work toward sustainable, meaningful change. Their highly qualified and trained therapists, counselors, physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals work with individuals of all ages and walks of life to reorient focus, develop meaningful relationships, and provide comprehensive care.  Chrysalis provides mental health and substance abuse services as well as help accessing community resources.  Telehealth services are being provided at this time.
 
Gracepoint

  • Gracepoint is one of Tampa Bay’s leading providers of behavioral health solutions, dedicated to inspiring and creating life-changing wellness for every individual.  Gracepoint provides mental health services to children and adults. They currently utilize virtual health when necessary.  Gracepoint also provides crisis services to children through the Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit.  Clinicians are available by calling 813.272.2882 for immediate evaluations - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   
 
Northside Behavioral Health Center  http://www.northsidebhc.org/ 
  • Northside's children's services are available to children who meet the admission criteria. Spanish-speaking therapists are available. Northside provides Counseling Services including individual child & family counseling, group counseling, specialized counseling for children ages 0-6, juvenile sex offender treatment, and Psychiatric Outpatient Services including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and on-site pharmacy services provided by Genoa Pharmacy.
 
DACCO

Success 4 Kids and Families (S4KF) https://www.s4kf.org/ 
  • S4KF supports individuals and families coping with behavioral, emotional or mental health challenges, as well as pregnant women and their families through their Healthy Start Program. They offer a wide range of services to lend a helping hand to the families, children, youth and young adults in our community. They begin with a comprehensive assessment as to which service(s) will best meet the needs...and then we help navigate those services.
